Known for his striking presence in the fashion world, musician and model Danny Blake is back with his latest single, “Faith,” featuring the evocative talents of Serena Dench and Ashley Tragic. Serena Dench, a powerhouse vocalist known for her soulful performances at Bagatelle in Mayfair and other prestigious venues, was a perfect fit for the chorus. “She came to the studio and just blew my mind,” says Blake. “I couldn’t say no.” Serena’s contribution adds a hauntingly beautiful layer to the track, her voice soaring above Blake and Ashley’s verses, capturing the essence of resilience and introspection. Ashley Tragic, the rapper of whom has performed at Creamfields, Strawberry Festival, opened for Dappy as part of YChange, and dozens more shows across the UK and even Norway, adds his own unique flair to the track.

For those wondering, “Faith” is more than just a song; it’s a testament to Blake’s tumultuous past and a heartfelt plea to look deeper inside oneself. We are so much more than our outward appearance, and it’s time we prioritise giving our minds the self-love that we so actively give our bodies. Jumping into it, Danny’s single “Faith” chronicles his journey from a background marred by gang violence and crime to a life reshaped by the transformative power of art and self-expression. “I’ve had a hard life,” Blake admits, coming from a place where crime and violence were part of his everyday reality. This song is about looking beyond that, about finding faith in yourself, even when life gets tough.

The track’s origin story is just as interesting as its message. It all began with a deep verse that Blake had penned down, reflecting on his personal trials and triumphs. He had long been friends with Ashley Tragic, a bond that formed years ago at an open mic show. “We met going from show to show,” Blake recalls, “performing at open mics, sharing stages, and stories. When I played this song for Ashley, he instantly connected with it and had the brilliant idea to bring Serena into the mix.”

Since recording, “Faith” has been performed at several venues and events, receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience. “Seeing the crowd vibe to it made us want to get it out there more,” Blake shares. Released on August 14th, the single has already garnered attention, and a music video is on the horizon, set to premiere on Blake’s YouTube channel in the next couple of months.

Blake’s evolution from a Fulham kid with a troubled past to a model featuring in magazines such as i-D Magazine, Attitude, and British Vogue to working with big-name brands like Versace, Off-White x Moncler, and Diesel is inspiring. Yet, his pivot to music is a bold move, one that he’s taking more seriously than ever. “Music was a hobby at first, but now, it’s become a part of me,” he says. With “Faith,” Danny Blake proves he’s not just a good-looking chap or a name from a rough neighbourhood—he’s a storyteller with a message, and that message is clear: have faith, dig deeper, and believe in the power of transformation.
