Reading Time: 5 Minutes

.

NME magazine is a magazine which has been defining the voice in music and pop culture since the grand year of 1952. Since 1953 they have held an annual awards evening highlighting the best in music and beyond from categories such as NME Radar Award, Music Moment Of The Year and Songwriter Award among many others. Venues have taken place in Iconic London entertainment landmarks such as The Royal Albert Hall and Empire Pool.

After a year of no NME Awards this one was rather special. Combining this years event held on a Pieces full moon meant the waterworks may be in for attendees. Emotions would have been heightened on the night of the music industry event, that said on the bright side to those nominees that were not awarded, this time highlights the ability to see things on the brighter side. Lets be fair though a nomination is still something to be proud of and for anyone out there with the desire of a music career, you have the power within to make it happen, we all are rooting for you. The hosts of this years show were English actress Daisy May Cooper and rapper Lady Leshurr and they hosted at the Brixton Academy.

The reason why all have been mentioned is to accredit them for the endless hours of work they have put in to claim those titles. I’m glad ‘Last Night In Soho’ won best film as it really was intriguing and well thought out, saddened by Charli XCX ‘Good Ones’ not winning best song by UK artist as the video resonated me with a classic season of American Horror Story, I guess we all have our favourites. That will certainly stand true with the fashion poll similar to The Brits and hope you all enjoy the ranking of best-dressed attendees at the NME Awards.

NME Awards Fashion Verdict

Unlucky for some and lucky for others at number 13 we have Raff Law. Raff Law is showing us that sometimes a classic is the best approach, we must say we fell in love with the look you sported for Homme+ back last fall it was perfection.

At number 12 we have actor Nathaniel Curtis, showing us that his style is always changing. Nathaniel has no limitations, all we can say is green is a good colour for you.

In at magic number 11 is Fontaines D.C.  The green leather jacket really is a must and many congratulations on your award.

Making it in at number 10 we have FKA Twigs, many would rank you higher but with already receiving a pre-announced award for Godlike Genius, we wished to even the playing field, that said it’s the votes that matter.

Number 9 – we have to place the hostess somewhere on our list but where? Lady Leshurr striking look took her to one of the best-dressed position placements for the night. Confidence is your superpower and it shines through allowing you to glow.

Number 8 – Natalie Imbruglia certainly wasn’t hiding behind a mask for this appearance. The actress stole the show by glimmering in gold and lived to tell the story unlike poor Glimmer (Leven Rambin) from the Hunger Games.

At number 7 – true style comes from a kind heart and a positive demeanor. Pop star Mabel presented the icon award to her mother Swedish singer Neneh Cherry. All I can is we would be happy too if we won, it was well deserved.

Number 6 – Bring Me The Horizon may have closed off the show but they certainly didn’t come last when it comes down to dress sense. We have to take every member’s style into account when it comes to ranking.

THE TOP 5

With number 5 we have PYRA, her style was breath taking, it was her talent though that enabled her to win the award of Best Solo Act From Asia.

The Number 4 spot is given to American singer and guitarist Brix Smith. With it still being cold in the UK, this look was not only news worthy but should be praised for it’s practicality too.

THE TOP 3

Number 3 will be broken down into 2 looks the first being Azim Majid, there’s something desirable about BTS footage and he is a man of great style. I mean look at those accessories.

With number 3 part 2 we have comedian Munya Chawawa in a very desirable look. Munya is fusing the lines between new age and 1970’s, we certainly would love to know who your stylist was.

Number 2 – we have songwriter Griff in a silver and red dress by designer Kingwen. A possible fusion between that of Carrie and one of the lady of the manor in the jazz era.

In the top spot, we have artist Camden Cox in an enchanting lilac dress that pairs excellently with her locks. Styled by Adele Cany which has dressed the likes of Kevin Dias, SODY, Becky Hill, Liam Payne and many more creative talents.
