Kit Blake are a relatively young menswear label that was founded in 2018 by Richard Wheat and Chris Modoo of who the latter has now gone on to pursue other projects. Although Chris has gone, the brand still retains the small artisan approach to their collections and Kit Blake continues to take beautiful tailored trousers to new heights – by pushing a quality product that is timeless and aesthetically pleasing, without compromising on price. Their classic, Savile Row-inspired designs are made in Italy from British and Italian cloths, and they have a product which is truly distinctive and that is why they are arguably London’s best kept secret in the menswear industry.
With the weather warming up and summer just right around the corner, Kit Blake drove down from London to Camber Sands for a day on the beach and to explore Rye. With the sun shining all day, it was the perfect background to shoot their latest summer collection. The new range features some cotton trousers in Kit Blake’s classic Grant and Duke styles, along with three colours of the Newman chinos. The obligatory fish and chips (and plenty of ice creams) were eaten before the team slowly made there way back into busy London, bringing with them loafers and pockets full of sand.
The SS23 collection had an incredible team involved behind it from photographer rkzuk who is also a menswear writer and editor of “The Accessible Magazine” and an ambassador for CALM the non profit organisation that campaign against living miserably to stylist gracegilfeather who is the fashion director at The Rake and previously the fashion editor at GQ for 12 years and finally the handsome talent seidmahamat who has walked for the likes of Kenzo, Zegna and Hermès.
